Easter weekend 2016 will be one I won't forget. Being about 5 months pregnant I ANXIOUSLY waited all day for Easter dinner, 5 o'clock sharp. We get to their house and wait...and wait. My mother and Jamie still didn't return home, after about an hour we finally get a call from my mom, they got pulled over. Just their luck lol! They finally arrive home 2 hours later. Jamie comes in, sits on the couch and opens up a beer, we all know thats his fav after the long weekend he had.
We do our annual Easter egg hunt first. As we search around the house for all our things, we joke how we're glad Jamie didn't hide anything this year. A couple years ago, the genius that he is, hides one of the chocolates on a heater. And no surprise it melted lol we find all our things with no chocolate melting incidents. It's finally time to eat, Jamie decided to cut the turkey. I don't know where he got his techniques from. The turkey was cut into huge chunks, we all make fun of him again. As we sit around eating, My mother starts talking about the show greys anatomy. We recently become obsessed and always shared our thoughts. Jamie chimes in from the kitchen and yells "nobody cares about greys anatomy" lol little did he know my mom told me a couple days before, how he was a closet fan and didn't want anybody to know. So I yell back "Jamie, we all know you love it, my mom told me all about it" we all laugh. As the day comes to an end, we sit around the table talking about anything and everything. It's time for us to leave, we say goodbye, i turned to walk out the door, I look back and say "see you later" knowing I'll only being seeing him On Friday when he returns from work. That was the last time I seen jamie, it was such a nice day. I never thought our world would be changed forever only 3 days later.
